The SKI-HI Institute in the Department of Communicative Disorders/Deaf Education develops programs and materials and provides nationwide training for service providers to enhance the lives of infants, young children, and youth with special needs. The Institute is a preeminent leader in the area of early intervention for families of infants and young children with sensory loss, developmental delays, or other special needs. In addition, the SKI-HI Institute has excellent programs for preschool, elementary, and secondary-aged children with special needs, and university training programs.
