Clinic Details

Services are provided from September through early December and from January through April of each year. Diagnostic and treatment services for clients with speech, language, or related disorders are not available during the Summer Semester unless the Department offers specially scheduled programs for this purpose.

From Logan City’s Main Street (US Highway 91), turn east onto 400 North

Drive up the university hill until the intersection with 1200 East.

Turn left (north) onto 1200 East.

Drive north one block to the intersection with 700 North.

Turn left (west) onto 700 North and drive approximately 1 1/2 blocks until you see the Center.

The USUSLHC is located in the Lillywhite Building, a yellow brick building on the south side the street. Watch for the sign on the lawn.

Parking is on the east side of the building in the stalls reserved for patrons of the USUSLHC

Fees

Diagnostic and treatment services at the USU Speech-Language-Hearing Center are provided on a published fee-for-service basis. An adjustable fee schedule is available on a preapproved basis in cases of financial hardship.

Appointments

Clients are seen at the USUSLHC by appointment only. Ordinarily there is a minimal waiting period for diagnostic appointments. Special scheduling arrangements may be possible under circumstances of urgency. For appointment information, clients should call the Center at (435) 797-1375 and ask for a speech or hearing appointment. The Center’s business hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 on Mondays through Fridays, according to the university calendar. The facility is fully accessible for persons with disabilities.

Referrals

The USUSLHC accepts clients who are self-referred or referred by other sources, including parents, physicians, school personnel, and other outside agencies. Upon written request by the client or parent, diagnostic and/or treatment reports will be sent to the person or agency responsible for the referral or to other requested parties. The USUSLHC will refer clients to other types of professionals or agencies, when necessary.
