Advancement Board

The overall purpose of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services Dean’s National Advancement Board is to help find resources for College priorities.   These priorities include:

  1. Scholarship endowments (undergraduate and graduate);
  2. Lab and classroom equipment (biomedical, audiology, assistive technology, sign language, exercise science, dietary/obesity programs, information technology);
  3. Professorships and Faculty Chair Endowments;
  4. Program Endowments (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics [STEM] Education program; Arts Education)
  5. Facilities (Research and Education Center for Early Childhood Education, Early Care and Education Center, Outdoor Imaginarium for Child Development Lab)
     

The responsibilities of board members are to:

  1. Serve as an advocate for the College;
  2. Provide the Dean and the Development Officer with new contacts;
  3. Host, plan, and/or attend cultivation events at which the Dean highlights the prominence and achievements of the College;
  4. Offer names for membership on the National Advancement Board;
  5. Contribute resources, time, or service to College programs.
